Ms Akanksha Chaurey's experience in the field of renewable energy is spread over 14 years. Her expertise area is solar photovolataics (SPV). She began her career with TERI in September 1987 and was involved in projects related to capacity building as well as technology and market assessment of SPV. Having worked with TERI for over 5 years, Ms. Chaurey felt the need to gain valuable industry experience. She spent the next 4 years as Director of Sairam Solar, a company designing, integrating and installing SPV and wind energy systems. Ms Chaurey then spent two years as a renewable energy consultant working specifically on the commercialization of SPV systems. In July 1999, Ms Chaurey re-joined TERI and continues to work on commercialization of SPV technology. Ms Chaurey has a Masters of Science degree in Physics and Masters in Technology in Metallurgical Engineering.
