Mark Radka is the Energy Programme Coordinator at UNEP's Paris-based Division of Technology, Industry and Economics; he manages the organization’s efforts to build links between the global energy and environment agendas. Much of UNEP’s effort lies in promoting greater investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, particularly in developing countries. Mr. Radka is a coordinating lead author of the Special Report on Methodological and Technological Issues in Technology Transfer issued by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Before joining UNEP, Mr. Radka worked in Washington, D.C. as a consultant to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the World Bank, where he managed technology cooperation projects in developing countries, primarily in Asia.
Mr. Radka has received a Master of Public Policy degree in Environmental Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and a S.B. in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Energy Programme United Nations Environment Programme
UNEP's Energy Programme addresses the environmental consequences of energy production and use, such as global climate change and local air pollution. UNEP assists decision makers in government and the private sector to make better, more informed energy choices, those that fully integrate environmental and social costs. UNEP helps raise awareness, develops tools for decisionmakers, improves analytical and policy skills, and provides technical assistance projects through pilot or demonstration activities.
