The architecture at The Science Park is an artwork in itself.
So, what could make more sense then to unite art and science?
Unusual and unconventional events fit in very well here.

Dan Flavin
Those with a special interest
in unusual fluorescent light installations
may appreciate one of the last works
of the great American light sculptor,
Dan Flavin, as they take an evening
stroll around the Science Park.
Every evening, bluish-green neon light
makes its way through the giant glass
facade of The Science Centre across
the pond and park into the
windows of the bordering
district of Ückendorf.

Hermann Prigann
The phantasmagoria of Herman
Prigann’s Sculpture Park in the
former Rheinelbe colliery grounds.
His art leads to the stairway to heaven.
This last landmark from the
International Building Exhibition
„Emscher Park“ marks the south
end of the Science Park.
