Private means objects, areas and matters which are not open to the public, but for only a single person or a confined group of people who are all involved in an intimate or a trust. What is private and what is public is a subject of constant change, which depends on the spirit of the time and the social and cultural environment of individuals.
Artists and photographers deal more and more with their own lives, their family, their friends, their perceptions, desires and fears, creating a unique reflection of their feelings. With their reports from the personal environment they contribute insightful interior views of private rooms in the public and give the society an important impetus to the liberalization and acceptance of the unknown.
Other photographers give critical position on the dangers of misuse of personal data, images and expressions of opinion and a growing control mentality.
